Getting Off & Cutting Myths
In the by-here era of jet packs and wheel-less cars (year 2077) people studying an old scientific report were amazed as they noticed that the Global Warming myth had all started with a mere typographical error. The very first article was meant to be a report on "Global Warning" that was published by the US government. It had to do with warning systems and their flaws and how to correct them, especially in regards to earthquakes and tsunamis. It somehow got turned upside down into an idea that the world was going to end, along with other theories like the World Trade Towers were still standing and actually never fell. The internet and presidential election losers exhaserbated these misinformation campaigns. These researchers noticed a strong link between those who kept stating that global warming would cause serious problems with the Earth, with photos of hippies carrying signs through city streets saying "The End is Near". Other discoveries that brought them a chuckle, was how when in the late 1900's the people discovered that trees don't just "lose their leaves" they push them off, which is what led to the adoption of the replacement of the season named "FALL" to something that better described what actually happened each year. Thus the "GET OFF" season had officially started 71 years prior, in the year 2006. |
