Imagine going to school and the first thing that happens just about every day is being called gay.

Well, since there's nothing wrong with the word gay, it's no big deal right? So why is it such a big deal when kids are called dyke, fag, or whore? I don't claim to know exactly, but I do know that the tone is what seems to hurt kids feelings and put them on edge. They know when someone doesn't like them and goes out of their way to HARASS them. There are plenty of laws regarding harassment.Here is a good article by Rolling Stone Magazine about what's happening in a fundamentally conservative Christian community where kids are fighting back. I'm not one for fighting anything, I'm more for working with energies instead of against them. How about making these words become cool like what was done with being called queer? I mean what fag gets upset anymore when called queer? It's now cool! So should all other "gay slurs" as they are called. Instead of fighting make it all cool. What do you mean calling things cool is not cool anymore? Where is that book on what words are cool to use anymore?
